Blessings Threads

My name is Rashad Sullivan, and Blessings Threads was born from a story of faith, struggle, perseverance, and purpose.

I grew up in a small town in northwest Oklahoma called Enid. Life was far from easy. We lived in conditions many people could never imagine — rats and roaches, no central heat or air, no washer or dryer, no car, and very little resources at times. The environment around us was filled with drugs, alcohol, violence, and hopelessness. I grew up without a father, and statistically, I was every example of someone who was supposed to fail.

It would have been easy to become a product of my environment.
Easy to make excuses.
Easy to settle.

But I learned early in life that circumstances do not have to define your future.

I had two choices:
Become another statistic… or use every obstacle as fuel to rise above it.

The greatest blessing in my life was my mother, Cynitha Porter.

She raised seven children while working on K-Mart wages. Despite every hardship stacked against her, she never stopped showing up. She never made excuses. She worked tirelessly day after day, doing everything she could to provide for us, protect us, and keep us moving forward.

To this day, I still don’t fully understand how one person could carry that much responsibility with so much strength, grace, and endurance. Looking back now, I realize my mother wasn’t just raising children — she was building resilience, faith, and purpose inside of us.

She was our first example of what a true blessing looked like.

Blessings Threads was created in honor of that sacrifice.

This brand is more than hoodies, tees, and hats. Every piece we create carries meaning. Every design is meant to inspire faith, spark conversations, and remind people that God can bring purpose out of pain.

But our mission goes beyond clothing.

At Blessings Threads, we are deeply passionate about giving back and supporting single parents who may be facing some of the same struggles we once faced. We know what it feels like to carry heavy burdens. We know what it feels like to wonder how you’re going to make it through another day.

God has guided me every step of the way, and through every setback, He has never failed me.
